Sales Engineer, Tool and Die

OTTO’s opportunity:

Our Sales Engineer, Tool and Die is responsible for tooling sales, Wire EDM services, as well as technical support to customers. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships and needs. This will include following up on quote requests, attending trade shows, and partnering with marketing on various lead generation and follow up activities.

Specifically, the Sales Engineer, Tool and Die will:

  • Monitor customer sales activities and generate new leads and opportunities
  • Convey customer requirements to the team
  • Act as primary contact for customers, including phone and email contact
  • Create and provide estimates for tool builds, components, and Wire EDM projects
  • Assist with project management
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned

What you’ll need to bring to the table:

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks software, desired but not required
  • Industry specific sales network ideal
  • Knowledge of the tool and die trade and Wire EDM, desired but not required
  • Moderate overnight travel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with customer and project team
