OTTO’s opportunity:

Our Quality Inspector II is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, final and first article inspections and reporting results in a manner which fully describes the component part, subassembly, or finished product as required.

Specifically, the Quality Inspector II will:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection including non-FAA grips.
  • Perform first article inspection on OTTO and supplier produced components, sub-assemblies, and finished goods.
  • Develop and maintain first piece, incoming, in-process, and final inspection reports.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely inspections of both OTTO and supplier submissions.
  • Perform additional/alternate inspections per Material Review Board (MRB) direction.
  • Facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) meetings.
  • Update and process to closure Material Rejection Reports (MRRs).
  • Monitor and maintain accurate MRB inventory.
  • Assist with calibration of inspection equipment.
  • Perform random line audits as directed.
  • Participate in the maintenance of OTTO’s ISO 9001 and AS99100 registration.
  • Effectively handle conflicting and/or changing priorities with minimal management involvement so inspection delays are avoided.
  • Assist with other duties as required or assigned.

What you’ll need to bring to the table:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Quality Department of a manufacturing firm
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience performing inspections utilizing common measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, thread gages, drop indictors, spring testers and optical equipment
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and AS9100.
  • Computer literate in all Microsoft office applications
  • Must have strong math skills and be detail oriented
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Requires self-motivation and ability to complete tasks and projects within strict guidelines
  • Requires the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Requires the ability to differentiate between colors
  • Availability for nonstandard or extended work hours
  • Bona Fide Occupational Qualification: Visual acuity test and color vision screening will be performed after offer/acceptance of position. Hiring is contingent upon a passing score of 20/25 (in both eyes) and passing of the color screen
